Accessibility Statement
Lumiere Productivity is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We continuously enhance our user interface and apply recognized accessibility standards to guarantee universal, barrier-free access to our browser extensions, calculators, research publications, and documentation.
1. Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define technical criteria for designers and engineers to improve accessibility for individuals with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.
The Lumiere website and documentation conform to WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.2 Level AA requirements and fulfill the digital accessibility provisions of Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
2. Code-Level Technical Measures
We build native, code-level accessibility directly into our frontend architecture rather than relying on surface toolbar overlay widgets:
- Full Keyboard Operability: All navigation links, modal dialogs, search filters, and calculators are navigable and triggerable via standard keyboard controls without mouse dependency.
- Visible Focus Indicators: High-contrast focus rings (
:focus-visible) are rendered across all interactive elements with a distinct outline. - Skip to Content Navigation: Keyboard and screen reader users can immediately bypass header navigation via the top skip link.
- Semantic Landmark Hierarchy: Complete document landmarks (
<header>,<nav>,<main>,<footer>) and hierarchical headings (<h1>through<h3>) ensure orderly screen reader navigation. - Touch Ergonomics & Mobile Accessibility: All interactive touch targets adhere to a minimum of 44 × 44 CSS pixels with zero horizontal viewport overflow.
- Form Labels & Error Association: Every input element is explicitly linked to associated label identifiers and real-time live regions.
- Contrast & Resizing: Visual presentation exceeds 4.5:1 text contrast ratios, with fluid typography that supports 200% zoom without loss of layout integrity.
3. Assistive Technology Compatibility
Lumiere Productivity is engineered and tested for full compatibility with modern web browsers and assistive technology environments:
- Screen Readers: NVDA and JAWS on Windows; Apple VoiceOver on macOS and iOS; Google TalkBack on Android.
- Voice Control & Switch Navigation: Native OS speech dictation and switch device inputs.
- Screen Magnification: ZoomText and native browser zoom engines up to 200%.
