Diagnostic Guidelines & SLA Commitments
At Lumière Labs, we maintain a dedicated technical support engineering desk for our active community of productivity professionals. In order to ensure swift resolution of extension inquiries, compatibility bugs, and integration audits, we guarantee the following Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all client-side feedback:
Standard Bug Reports
Technical assessment and reproduction verified within 24 to 48 business hours. All verified fixes are compiled and dispatched via CWS hotfixes.
Manifest V3 Compliance
Security sandbox conflicts or extension policy restrictions are escalated immediately to our MV3 lead with updates posted within 12 hours.
Feature Integration
User proposals are evaluated weekly by the Lumière Editorial Board and cataloged into our public GitHub repository for developer reviews.
Pre-Submission Troubleshooting Checklist
Before dispatching a bug report to our engineering desk, please perform the following diagnostic steps to facilitate rapid reproduction and patching:
- Verify Extension Version: Check `chrome://extensions` to ensure you are operating on the latest published stable build on the Chrome Web Store.
- Clear IndexedDB Cache: Since all Lumière tools operate on local-first storage, clearing browser cache or resetting storage pools can instantly resolve data synchronization lockups.
- Isolate Conflicts: Temporarily disable other third-party extensions on the target domain to isolate permission hook or page script collision variables.
- Capture Console Logs: Right-click the extension popup or the target web page, choose Inspect, navigate to the Console tab, and copy any active JavaScript error traces.
Frequently Requested Technical Guides
How to manually backup your local-first extension templates:
Because all custom templates are stored offline in your client sandbox, we highly recommend exporting weekly backups. Open the extension, click Settings, select Export Configurations, and save the generated .json file to a secure local folder. If you ever switch computers or clear your browser profiles, this file can be uploaded via Import Configurations to restore your swipe files in under 3 seconds.
Troubleshooting extension keyboard hotkey conflicts:
If typing a shortcut like /sales does not trigger the expansion popover, another active extension or browser native utility may have captured the event listener. To verify focus, open chrome://extensions/shortcuts in your Chrome window, search for Just My Type, and ensure no overlapping hotkeys are bound to standard Windows or system-level outreach commands.
Securing your personal data shadow on corporate networks:
Just My Type is sandboxed under Manifest V3 security, meaning corporate network administrators cannot view your swipe library or intercept clipboard operations unless a keylogger is active at the operating system layer. To ensure absolute data sovereignty, use our zero-telemetry feature set, which blocks all network check-ins and guarantees 100% hardware-level privacy isolation.
